FROM LAURA’S LEAN BEEF TO FULL SPECTRUM CBD
You might recognize me as “Laura,” the founder of Laura’s Lean Beef, which I started 35 years ago. Back then, I was ahead of the curve, bringing antibiotic-free, locally pastured beef to millions of Americans.
Now, I’m taking on a new venture with Laura’s Hemp Chocolates and Laura’s Homestead Alternatives.
A turning point in my life came after a serious horseback riding accident that left me with chronic, full-body pain. I decided to sell the beef company, retire, and move to the coast.
While my daughter took over running the farm, in 2015, she began cultivating hemp as part of Kentucky’s innovative program.
Still on the road to recovery but always a farmer at heart, I visited the farm several times a year, attending hemp meetings across the state.
