legislators and the federal government have gotten involved, passing bills and issuing
executive orders protecting the corporate owner, Bayer AG, a German conglomerate,
from liability from “failure to warn” consumers that glyphosate can cause cancer.
Roundup and other glyphosate products have been the subject of more than 200,000
legal claims, linking long-term exposure to non-Hodkin’s lymphoma, leukemia, and other
blood cancers.
